The Job of the Wallet is a creativity business approach that revolves around the consumer. During this activity the goal is to determining what and who the customer is and what they want out of a specific product. The process occurs by interviewing the consumer and determining what they like/dislike about their current "wallet", what they use it for, and all practical applications that can be used. The key is to dig deep into the consumers thought process and question everything. With that being said, prototypes can be produced and fine tuning will continue from there.
However, every customer is very different in their own wants and needs of a product. This can be very difficult for a business to produce diverse products. On the other hand, by combining many "wallets" there can be a product that is attractive to a majority based on similar specifications. It is important to remember not to allow personal feelings and preferences get in the way because in the end, "you are not the consumer."
